Mini Sleep Study Instructions

  1. Remove the finger sensor and the recorder from the case and their protective packaging.

  2. There are two sensor cords in the bag. Use the blue finger clip first and record for about 10 minutes while you are at rest. (watching TV, reading). Before you go to bed, change to the wire sensor, and attach it to your index finger as you were instructed.

  3. Turn on the recorder by the pressing the " " button.

    a. Notice the little bubble under the display screen. It will flash green, then start blinking orange.

    b. During this brief time, the display will show dashes under both sections.

    c. It will begin flashing green when it is reading information correctly. You will see numbers replace the dashes.

    d. The green light will change to orange whenever it is not getting valid data, which means you must adjust the sensor on your finger.

  4. Lay down and prepare for sleep. Once you are settled in, check the machine to ensure it is still reading okay (green light flashing). You may need to make sure the sensor has not shifted off of the finger tip. When assured that all is okay, press the " " button one time. You will see the display dim. This simply conserves battery power.

  5. When you wake up, turn the recorder off by pressing the " " button.

  6. Remove the finger sensor and carefully replace the sensor, cords, and recorder in the protective packaging, then place in the case.

  7. Return the case to the office.
